Stewart Scores Second the Hard Way at New Hampshire
Late-Race Rally Gives Old Spice/Office Depot Driver Fourth Top-Five of 2010
Tony Stewart snared an impressive second-place finish the hard way in Sunday?s Lenox Industrial Tools 301 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon.
The driver of the No. 14 Old Spice/Office Depot Chevrolet Impala for Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) had to come from as far back as 33rd in the 43-car field because he was off-sequence from the rest of his competitors on pit stops.

Late-Race Gamble Doesn?t Quite Pay Off for Stewart
Office Depot/Old Spice Driver Finishes 11th in AAA Texas 500
It was the right call at the time but, as it turned out, there weren?t quite enough laps left in Sunday?s AAA Texas 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth for Tony Stewart to take full advantage of the four fresh tires he pitted for during a late-race caution. As a result, the driver of the No. 14 Office Depot/Old Spice Chevrolet for Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) had to settle for a still-respectable 11th-place finish.
Stewart and the Office Depot/Old Spice team decided to forego a trip down pit lane during a lap-200 round of stops under caution by the leaders. In return, Stewart and his No. 14 Chevrolet were awarded second place on the racetrack behind then-leader Greg Biffle and a solid top-five finish looked increasingly promising.

Tony Stewart is winless no more. The driver of the No. 14 Office Depot/Old Spice Chevrolet Impala for Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) won Sunday night?s Emory Healthcare 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway to snap a 31-race victory drought and collect his 38th career win but first of 2010.
Stewart led eight times for a race-high 176 laps in the 325-lap contest to score his first victory since winning last October at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City. So-So Race, But Now It?s Onto The Chase
Stewart 16th at Richmond, Starts 10-Race Chase Sixth in Points
After winning last weekend?s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Tony Stewart came into Richmond (Va.) International Raceway with his eyes set on collecting another victory and another 10 bonus that he could carry into the 10-race Chase for the Championship. It was not to be, as Stewart finished 16th in Saturday night?s Air Guard 400, but the driver of the No. 14 Old Spice/ Office Depot Chevrolet Impala for Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) is still a championship contender, as he?s seeded a solid sixth in the Chase, 50 points behind top-seed Denny Hamlin.
?Tonight wasn?t a good night, but we still have that momentum off of last week,? said Stewart, who typically runs well at Richmond as evidenced by his five victories at the .75-mile oval ? three in Sprint Cup and two in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. ?I?m really proud of our guys and everybody on this Office Depot/Old Spice team and all of our partners ? everybody who?s been a part of this program the last two years and helped us build this to put us in a position where we can be in the Chase two years straight. The arrow is still pointing up, in my opinion. It wasn?t a good night tonight, but we have 10 good weeks coming up. We have 10 weeks to see what we?ve got.?

Cross Fontana off the List for Stewart
Office Depot/Old Spice Driver a Runaway Winner at Auto Club Speedway
Coming into the weekend, Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., was one of only three venues the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series visits where Tony Stewart had yet to score a Sprint Cup victory in his 12-year career ? Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Darlington (S.C.) Raceway being the others. But the driver of the No. 14 Office Depot/Old Spice Chevrolet for Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) led three times for 27 laps over the final 51 tours around the 2-mile oval to win Sunday?s Pepsi Max 400 and check the Southern California facility off his ?to-do? list.
More importantly, the victory ? where Stewart was able to keep the hard-charging Clint Bowyer and Jimmie Johnson behind him on a restart with just two laps remaining ? vaulted Stewart from 10th to fifth in the Chase for the Championship, 107 points behind Chase leader Johnson with six races remaining.

Stewart Can?t ?Bank? On It at Charlotte
Old Spice/Office Depot Driver Finishes 21st in Bank of America 500
With a win Labor Day weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway and another victory last Sunday at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., many looked to Tony Stewart for another strong outing in Saturday night?s Bank of America 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway. After all, the 1.5-mile oval is a sister venue to Atlanta with a similar layout, and Stewart?s performance at the 2-mile Fontana oval was further indication that Stewart?s prowess on intermediate-style tracks was stout.
That conventional wisdom was dealt a blow, however, when Stewart could not overcome an ill-handling racecar in the 334-lap contest. He wound up 21st, the last driver on the lead lap.

So there was much to celebrate for this inaugural running in September of 1958. It was a difficult day for the participants (and [...]
