The rider from Minnesota overcame mechanical problems with his KTM 450 SX-F bike in the day?s first two practices and got put into the blocks momentarily by Idaho?s Jake Weimer just short of the midway point of Saturday?s Supercross main event in front of 40,548 at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Snow, a 16-year-old from Pleasant Grove, won his second IMSA GT3 Challenge Cup Platinum Class race of the weekend on Sunday afternoon.
Snow took an early lead and drove his No. 62 car to a half-second victory over Sean Johnson of Mt. Shasta, Calif.

Tooele ? Madison Snow will always remember the 2012 Utah Grand Prix at Miller Motorsports Park.
Snow, a 16-year-old from Pleasant Grove, won his second IMSA GT3 Challenge Cup Platinum Class race of the weekend on Sunday afternoon.
Snow took an early lead and drove his No. 62 car to a half-second victory over Sean Johnson of Mt. Shasta, Calif.
The other Utah driver in the Platinum Class was 19-year-old Sloan Urry of Park City, who finished in fifth place.

Kansas City, Kan. ? A.J. Allmendinger will be on the pole for the second time in his Sprint Cup career after turning the fastest qualifying lap for Sunday?s race at Kansas Speedway.
Allmendinger posted a lap of 175.993 mph in his Penske Racing Dodge to claim the top spot ahead of Kevin Harvick and Joey Logano, who had led the fastest times most of the day.
It was the first pole for Allmendinger since 2010 at Phoenix.
